What is Model United Nations?

Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations where students take on the roles of delegates representing different countries, organizations, or individuals. In these conferences, participants research their assigned countries’ policies and perspectives on global issues and debate them in formal sessions.

MUN provides a platform to discuss international relations, diplomacy, and problem-solving while following procedures similar to actual UN committees, including moderated and unmoderated caucuses, drafting resolutions, and delivering speeches. It helps participants develop public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the registration fee for DPSG MUN 2026?
The registration fee is INR 2,300 for External Delegates and INR 2,100 for Internal Delegates (students of DPSG Meerut Road only). This covers entry to all committee sessions, delegate kits, lunch and high tea for both days, and access to the Delegate Socials.
Is accommodation provided for outstation delegates?
No, accommodation is not provided. DPSG MUN 2026 is a local school event designed for nearby regional schools. All attending delegates are requested to manage their own travel and lodging if traveling from outside the region.
What is the dress code for the conference?
The official dress code details for the conference will be disclosed exactly one week prior to the event. Updates and guidelines will be posted here on our website and on our official Instagram account @dpsg.mun.
Can beginners register? How do they get portfolios?
Absolutely! DPSG MUN encourages new voices. Beginners are allocated simpler portfolios and receive guidance webinars prior to the main conference.
